One of the mottos of Grassroots School is “the world is my classroom!” and we take a lot of field trips and do a lot of hands-on learning with our students. When replicas of Christopher Columbus’ ships Nina and Pinta docked in nearby St. Marks, we went to visit and see what life aboard a 15th century ship would have been like.
This video was made by a current parent who was once a Grassroots student, Ash von Chamier. Ash went to Grassroots during elementary school and now owns RoughCut Productions. He recently won the Royal Reel Award at the Canada International Film Festival. Thank you, Ash, for creating this wonderful film of our students!
